Royal India in Sonthofen

We ordered the dish "lamb Hyderabadi". However, it was not high quality lamb, but low quality beef. In addition, the deliverer was very unfriendly. Considering the high price, an absolute outrage!

We had food delivered here, mango duck and the vegetarian platter as well as garlic and chilli naan. Everything was very tasty, good portions, only from the naan we would have ordered more afterwards :) Delivery time was exactly as stated!

The food was good, the staff is nice, the toilets have seen better days, but unfortunately we were asked out at 9:30 p.m. with the bill on the table, we would have liked to have had another glass.

We went to eat there on vacation and were not disappointed. The dishes were deliciously seasoned and for me, as a vegan, there was also a good offer. In other restaurants I am often processed using the "eat or die" method. Fortunately, it is generally different with Indian people. That's why we eat Indian more often and I think I can judge the taste of the food. In any case, it is delicious here and we cannot complain about the staff either.

I ordered the Butter Chicken and it was delivered quickly too. The food was really warm and delicious. The supplier was also friendly. So to order hir food is recommended.

When we ordered our food to be delivered they said it would take 1 hour. After 1.5 hours we called again and were told that the food was on its way. After 2 hours there was still nothing. After we pointed out when we called again that such behavior is very unfair and if we do not receive any food in 10 minutes, that is done for us. Then we actually got the food we had ordered. My cousin was happy with her food, but it wasn't my taste. Conclusion: never again!

We had to wait almost 1 hour for the food to arrive. Starter was not brought because we used a voucher, but it was billed at the end! Conclusion: the food was very good - the service a disaster.

Delicious food like always there. We love indian cuisine.🙂 Acceptable prices, fast and polite service, short waiting time. Next available parking lot abt 5 minutes walk since the restaurant located in the pedestrian zone. Highly recommended place, they have an outside area where you can eat sitting now, or to take away your meal.

Nothing like a UK Indian restaurant in terms of style of curries. I.e a Jalfrezi in the UK is pretty hot with fresh chillies. Here the Jalfrezi was extremely mild, no heat at all. Tasty, just missing some chilli action. Also the tandoori mixed grill was served with lettuce and salad cream over the top. Dishes come with rice in the price and plenty of it.

We had been in many Indian restaurants in Europa since last 5 years, but in ‚Royal India‘ we were more pleased every time we went, We can recommend to one to visit once and experience the same. Mango Lassi, Butter chicken, Butter Naan, Tandoori Mix,...

The food was delicious and the waitress friendly. The prices are alright, pretty much the same as in other restaurants. Dinner for two, with one drink and one dessert each, cost us around 43€. There was music playing in the background and the aesthetic of the restaurant are pleasant. The only downside was that the tablecloth wasn't 100% clean, there where a few stains on them. All in all I can only recommend this restaurant for a date night or dinner with the family. I'll be coming back here.
